It’s been a couple of months since I’ve posted.  Chris and I are still working through the licensing process with Arrow, so we may finally take the next big step in our journey to create a family in another month or so.  Some things have not quite gone as planned… or should I say some things have not gone as I have planned on my timeline.  Yes… I’m still learning to give up control of things.  I’m still in that process of letting go.  I have a sneaky feeling that is something I will have to continue to relearn for the rest of my life.  : )   #Stubborn

So… we have completed all of our in-class AFI classes and the big, final behavior class, so we met the goal of finishing those classes before we leave for vacation.  We have a few online classes to complete, some inspections (app turned in), need to purchase a few things and install a few things, etc, but we are getting closer and closer!  I’m going to stop with timeline stuff because that clearly isn’t working in my favor.  I’ll just say we’ll keep you posted and we’re getting closer.

In all of this, I am so thankful for all of the support we have been provided.  This has not been an easy journey so far, and I know there are still a lot of difficulties we will continue to meet head on.   I do know we have a fantastic support system, and God has continually reminded me of this throughout…even on days when I wonder what in the world we are doing.  Our family, friends, church, and small group have just been so open and willing to give an encouraging word and so much more.  We are meeting new, wonderful people who have or are going through the same thing and for that, I would not trade this experience.  There is so much more purpose to all of this than just the end result, and I’m thankful I have been able to see that at various points in this process.  So a big THANK YOU to all of you!

Chris and I leave next week for vacation which I think will be the perfect time for us to rejuvenate and then finish up all of the little things as soon as we get back.  No phones, no internet, no stress, just being and refueling for the home stretch push.  Again, we’ll keep you posted!
